BLACK 25075

Black 25075 explores the idea of using a certain space to generate new spaces. A space that showcases the relationship between micro and macro, chaotic yet controlled forms. A space that constantly switches between these two universes making the viewer perceive the whole but also pulling him closer to see the details.

Technically speaking the project has been created using a perspective technique called anamorphosis. This technique distorts a given image so the viewer has to find the right angle to reconstruct it. This adds a layer of interactivity making the viewer involved and not only an observer.

The project's purpose is an analysis of memory and its processes, trying to emphasize the influence it has over our development as individuals, over time. Memory, apparently has a lot to do with imagination, outlining worlds that have never existed before our minds gave them shape.

Every time we remember an event we add new details, we simplify or we overcomplicate facts, we alter them. Without realizing, we constantly reimagine the stories of our lives.

Although our memory seems to be so dynamic, there are some memories that remain unchanged over time. They are called ”flashbulb” memories.

This project aims to analyze this particular type of memories in order to establish the importance of surrounding objects in the process of information recovery.
